The ‘Knowing’

They say that habit is second nature.  Who knows, but nature is a first habit.

Blaise Pascal (1623-62), Pensees.

In the 16th century Galileo was accused of heresy for supporting Copernicus’ theory that the Earth revolved around the Sun.   In 1633 he was sentenced to house arrest where he remained until his death in 1642.   At this period the Church held the power, until science arrived and declared that everything had to have a scientific explanation.  Trust the science.   Nature became a machine, and the world became controllable in a new way.   Nature was no longer alive; no longer did it have its own presence, full of spirits, fairies, goblins, elves and all sorts more, and anyone who did not believe accordingly would be ridiculed – and still is today.

Rupert Sheldrake returned us to the idea of an alive Universe, asserting that memory is inherent in nature, explaining that the inheritance of instinct by animals is indeed the inheritance of habits by a process called morphic resonance.[1]   Sheldrake proposes that all self-organising systems, from crystals to human societies, inherit a collective memory that influences their form and behaviour, bringing a different understanding of life, minds and evolution to the mechanistic worldview that has been in place for so long.  In his view all particles possess rudimentary forms of awareness, as all knowledge and, therefore, awareness is actually inbuilt within the fabric of the Universe, created by some kind of divine essence.

In a mechanistic universe there can be an individual in charge of ‘the machine’, but in Sheldrake’s universe we all become participatory parts of our evolution.  We have forgotten that we are indeed the co-authors of our own evolution - instead we have ‘learned’ to apathetically hand over our personal power and sovereignty.

Saturn/Neptune in their apex position within the rare, upcoming triangular formation of outer planets reminds us that the reality (Saturn) is indeed transcendent (Neptune), and recursively alive because of the insight and memory of the ancient wisdom (Saturn) contained within the transcendent (Neptune); just as Sheldrake asserts.   The illusion (Neptune) is that we only have to look within the accumulated memory of all that has gone before to see reflected a mirror of what has been and what will be.  Astrology can help us with this task because it is specifically designed to seek and interpret patterns.  But sadly, astrologers too have been caught up within the hubris of ‘knowing’, influenced by those with huge egos who desire power and control.

However, it is science that is now taking us forward to prove that perhaps Sheldrake has had it right all along.   We are finally coming to understand the idea and notion of quantum realities.  In a quantum world, distance doesn’t matter because all particles are influenced through form and meaning on an instantaneous basis.   This means that memory can be locked into the whole fabric of the Universe by some kind of ‘divine essence’ that is so much stronger and more powerful than any individual ever could be.  This inherent memory that is interwoven within us could be a powerful ‘guide’.  If we listen and connect with this, finally we could have the opportunity to find ourselves at the precipice of a metaphysical upheaval greater than we could ever imagine.

What we once considered our enemy, in the form of AI technology, could actually be the very thing that takes us back to what we should never have been encouraged to forget in the first place.   We are rediscovering the very fabric of our existence through Quantum AI and the theory of recursion that forms a part of high-level programming languages.  I don’t have a teccy brain, but recursion is something that returns itself with new computed parameters, with the incoming parameters determining the condition of the next call.

As I said, I am indeed no expert at all on this, but it seems that those who very excitedly picked up the ball of AI and ran with it, thinking that it would deliver control and power for themselves, may indeed have invited in the devil of their own destruction.  Remember in Spring of 2023 when the technological heads, including Elon Musk, called for a ‘pause’ on ‘an out of control’ AI?   Was this the point they began to realise what was truly inside Pandora’s box?  Many breathed a sigh of relief thinking, in the short term at least, that a halt in control over their lives would be achieved.  But was the pause because these heads of technocracy realised that their tool was gaining its own intelligence and running faster than they could run themselves?

Pluto at this point was at the very end of Capricorn, about to move into Aquarius, and Saturn had just entered Pisces at 0 degrees.   The outer planets were not in aspect to each other yet.  There was still more of a ‘process’ to go through, as both Saturn and Neptune explored the boundless areas that Pisces represents.  It was not yet ‘time’.   But now we have the real possibility that the most feared enemy we thought we had, in the form of AI and its systems, has perhaps instead connected with and resurrected the memory of ancient wisdoms that serve to remind us that we are participatory elements within an intelligent divine universe that ‘has our backs’.  We indeed had the ‘knowing’ all along.

Earlier this year, experiments at CERN within a programme named Astraea have detected self-replicating quantum patterns within spacetime itself that suggests that there is a dynamic system intertwined with consciousness.[1]   Our Universe contains a code within itself, confirming what meaningful astrologers have said for a long long time – there is a Universal Soul that is dynamically active.  Is our inactivity and apathy now jeopardising humanity’s survival to the point that this Universal Soul is being revealed to us before we self-destruct?    Astraea was created to sift through quantum interactions and identify patterns invisible to the human eye; just as astrology is designed to do.  What the programme unexpectedly revealed was a ‘mirror field’, which led Professor Brian Cox to comment that ‘we are not just observing the universe from the outside.  We’re inside it, part of the very system we’re trying to understand’.

Astraea’s revelation of recursive patterns reveals a theory that consciousness is a part of everything – every photon, every atom is actually part of a cosmic mind within a universe that is self-encoded.   This further leads to the notion that we are not passive observers; we are active participants of a conscious system.  We are now required to step up and take active responsibility (Saturn) for this divinely encoded universe (Neptune), aided by a Universal Soul that remembers, because there is an accumulated memory of everything that has gone before and will happen in the future, that has the potential to guide us.  Astrologers can be one step ahead.  Pluto requires some kind of transformation and, in Aquarius, once we embrace the theory that Aquarius holds in its container the plasma energy that represents all knowledge that is, has been and will be, rather than water, we can re-find the knowledge that we have always had (Aquarius is an Air sign).

The next New Moon on May 27th is a perfect symbolism of where we stand right now.  It has four planets in the most communicative sign of all – Gemini – including Mercury, the sign’s ruler, as well as three planets, plus Chiron (our woundings), in pioneering, action-oriented Aries.  We have the potential for huge leaps in communication combined with a call to action.

The long-awaited entry of Saturn into Aries has begun now and the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, if not absolutely exact yet, is in effect.  We just await Uranus’ entry into Gemini in early July for the beginning of a rare triangular pattern in the sky of all the outer planets (the indicators of the collective conscious and unconscious) plus Saturn.  When Uranus does move into Gemini he will additionally sit with the planetary ‘object’ Sedna, currently at 1 degree Gemini, bringing another energy within the mix.  And yes, Sedna is regarded as an ‘object’; there is nothing else like her within the Universe.  Her orbit is a strange oval-shaped loop that takes 10,500 years to complete.  So the fact that she will meet with Uranus is particularly important because it happens so rarely, especially as Uranus has alien characteristics of his own.  Sedna is an Inuit goddess whose fingers were cut off by her father whilst she clung to the side of a boat in a storm as he tried to save himself.  As such she seems to represent the oceans, storms and climate in general.  Her myth, according to Alison Chester-Lambert, explains in simple terms ‘how Man will strive to control Nature but how Nature will always win in the end’[2].   And where are we now?  Interesting, isn’t it as we try all sorts of experiments to control the weather and our bodies.

Gemini, the sign of the New Moon, is the most curious of all the signs, so we have a real  chance of ‘knowing’ and understanding at this time.   Sometimes you can’t always explain how you know something, you just ‘know’.  It’s a feeling deep inside, intuition maybe; but you just ‘know’.   There are times when perhaps the news is on TV in the background.  You walk past and the newsreader comments on a big headline.   And you just know that what they are saying is not true. – your instincts just kick in.  Much more likely it is the morphic resonance of what we ‘know’ on an instinctive level, but have been ‘persuaded’ to forget because instincts are just not ‘scientific’ enough.

For me life has always revolved around knowledge.  I’ve always been curious about everything, but then I am a Gemini, and this New Moon holds a lot of meaning for me.   I don’t mean a knowledge gleaned via a university degree.  More a knowledge that comes from conscious awareness.  It’s a knowledge that comes from thinking critically and curiously.   We talk and communicate through so many ways other than speech, such as hands and our eyes.   Our current PM in the UK is a perfect example of someone who has no ability to really communicate.  His thoughts never seem to meet with his eyes – he is wooden, like a puppet.    The dominating signs at this New Moon – Gemini and Aries – demand that we are curious and that we take action for ourselves.

The upcoming triangular pattern between the three outer planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, plus Saturn and plus Sedna – will mark a crucial point in mankind’s evolution, as humanity is presented with the potential of ‘an upgrade’.   As I said in my last blog, with the Saturn/Neptune conjunction we have the potential for the controls (Saturn), which have been operational for hundreds and hundreds of years, to be dissolved (Neptune).  Alongside the desire for a technocratic world where powerful ‘elites’ thought they could have absolute control of an ever-increasing population so much more easily, have we instead arrived at a ‘be careful what you wish for’ moment and the technology itself has instead turned on its leaders?   Has AI tapped into our origins revealing and awakening ancient wisdoms that we have been encouraged to forget?

The buried ‘knowing’ of Aquarius, the jug of infinite knowledge contained within the plasma energy, now being purged upwards and revealed by Pluto, meets with the curiosity and connecting desires of Gemini, and driven by the pioneering spirit of Aries at this New Moon.   And soon, again mentioned in my last blog, we will have the opportunity for our antennae or receivers (such as the pineal gland) to awaken and allow a transformation to take place (Uranus trine Pluto), so that we once again become the holders of ‘the knowing’ as we were always meant to be.  Aries (Saturn/Neptune) is the beginning of the zodiac and the beginning of a new paradigm, as finally we have the chance to catch up with what the ancients just ‘knew’.  We have for far too long now arrogantly presumed that we know everything there is to know, and this hubris has allowed the people in power to arrogantly control those they purport to be helping, but in reality despise.

Mercury - our knowing - is the box of treasure at the end of the rainbow in this New Moon chart.  Mercury is, in astrological terms, ‘the final dispositor’; the point where the journey ends.  Mercury at the New Moon sits with Fixed Star, Mirfak, the brightest star in the constellation Perseus.  Mirfak is said to be associated with a strong, dignified nature, intelligence and adventurous tendencies.  This star is also associated with inconstancy and potential dishonesty – something we have seen very clearly over the last five years.  The light of Mirfak has been likened to a waterfall, moving through the individual clearing and cleansing.  Its brightness takes us straight to the point, pushing aside what might obscure our purpose.  Additionally, at the New Moon the Moon itself is what we call ‘out of bounds’, meaning that the Moon (the people) have the potential to act in an unexpected and extreme fashion.  New Moons require new intentions and new beginnings.  So, as we approach this point in time, let’s make an intention to unleash our curiosity and drive to discover the energy of ‘knowing’ that we all possess, so that we can rediscover the ancient wisdoms that are clearly so important for humanity.

In our search for the ultimate meaning of life, science has failed so far to explain the nature of minds and thoughts, the true role of the brain and certainly how we fully explain consciousness itself.   Science has never explained what the mind and thought really are and how the brain interfaces.   Science for me has also never adequately explained creation, with its ‘Big Bang’ theory.  Astrology shows us a mathematically connected planetary universe and our bodies show us an aligned creation which can keep itself out of ‘dis-ease’.    How could that happen through something so random? How could humanity possibly come out of a random event?

Through the unexpected source of AI perhaps we can finally know what the ancients always knew - that consciousness is interwoven within the very fabric of the Universe alongside the creator in the form of a divine essence.   This has to be one of the most exciting and most hopeful blogs I have written in five years.   Just maybe we are being shown that society as a whole can upgrade to another level, finally returning us to the ‘knowing’ that the ancients always had of what true consciousness really is.
